If colour is totally new to you, you'll want to start by gathering a selection of images.

You should have a mixture of looks you love and looks you're not so keen on. Your next step is to take these images along to your consultation with your colour specialist- it's a myth that we hate pictures! They're a great tool for us to get a clear idea of the look your visualising in your head. During your consultation, we will pick apart each photo breaking it down into elements (do you like the level of lightness on that image or the copper tones on that one?).

Once we've really broken it down and found out what kind of look it is you're going for it's time to determine what tones and what level of depth will suit you. We use a number of different visual tools in the salon to find out how your skin reflects red or blue pigments- does it wash you out or enhance your skin tone? You can literally see the difference it makes right through the mirror! We'll take a look at your eye colour, see what flecks of colours they contain to help us asses your best suited tone and we'll take a look at what colour jewellery you're wearing. Once we've got the answer the next step is to give you your own personalised journey on how we plan to get you to your goal.
