If you've been searching for "Balayage Specialist s Near Me" but have some concerns, we've written a blog packed full of information so you can make an informed decision if you decide to go ahead!
Here's everything you need to know...
The short answer is YES! Balayage can suit every single person!
This is because a Balayage is a colouring technique used by Hair Stylists to create a Lived-in colour. Read on to learn all there is about Balayage!
History
Let's take it right back to the beginning, Balayage was first brought in by the French in the early 1970's. The term 'Balayage' means, "To sweep" which is the motion that describes how the lightener is applied- in a traditional, freehand Balayage (foil free). it wasn't until the 90's that this technique made a splash in the States and was extremely sought after amongst the celebrities. Balayage has continued to spread world wide and is one of the most wanted trends to date! Of course, since then its adapted and more techniques have been created for stylists to be able to keep up with the high demands of the constantly changing trends. nowadays a balayage needs to be lighter, brighter, bolder and more lived in than ever before, giving birth to the latest trend, 'Foliage'! Again, just another name for a colouring technique that creates an extreme Balayage look- the most popular look found all over Instagram!
Which Balayage will suit me?
The numerous different types of Balayage techniques can be a little overwhelming so I'll break it down for you:
Ombre: a gradual and seamless blend from dense, darker or natural roots to lighter ends not broken up at all with highlights or lowlights.
Balayage: Lightener painted on without the use of foil to incubate giving a very soft, warm sun kissed look.
Foiliage: Lightener placed in a balayage section pattern but with the use of foil to incubate to enhance the lift and create a lighter result.
Babylights: Extremely subtle highlights. Gives a very soft and natural look.
Contouring & Highlighting: Using a mixture of 'textured highlights, slices and free hand balayage to give you the hybrid look of a Foiliage and Balayage, along with Lowlights placed strategically around your head to enhance your face shape and skin tone! The most popular technique used at Binks!
I think its safe to say, no matter what look you're wanting to achieve, there's certainly a Balayage out there for you! Our hairdressing team in Chippenham are highly trained with knowledge & expertise in all of these techniques!

Will Balayage suit me?
